International Art Studies abroad is a program at York High School for students who are interested in becoming global citizens. Students spend a year and a half learning and preparing for an educational trip of a lifetime where they will embark to study abroad. Students get the opportunity to to immerse themselves in real-life international perspectives. This allows students to change their mindsets and become more globally aware as well as creating well-rounded citizens who come back to our community with new insights. Through their international studies, students will participate in hands-on learning about history, culture, language, art, geography, and more. This program allows students to gain independence and self-reliance along with learning to see our own culture through a new lens.
