As an organization, we are raising funds to support young girls in the Pittsburgh community. Each fall and spring semester, our organization sends groups of mentors to elementary schools in the area, where we mentor girls in grads 3-5, encouraging them to aim towards a successful future. We are a curriculum based mentoring organization, in which we aim to counter the pressure on girls to shy away from leadership roles in society, specifically in the under resourced communities in which many of them live.
We are looking to raise funds to help our mentors get to the sites, as well as help provide the materials necessary for mentoring. |
