The DC All Stars are the WFTDA charter team for the DC Rollergirls, representing the top talent from the league's four home teams. The All Stars compete for international rankings within the Women's Flat Track Derby Association and are eligible to represent the DC Rollergirls in WFTDA tournaments.
The National Maulers are DC's new "B" travel team, similar to a JV or AAA team. Like the All Stars, they travel the country to compete against teams from other leagues. Their scores might not count for WFTDA rankings, but they certainly count for our DC pride!
Skaters on both teams fund most of their travel expenses out of their own pockets. Fundraisers like this one help offset the travel costs and make it easier for skaters of all income levels to participate on the teams. DC Rollergirls is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. |
