Our Explorers get to take classes and learn about Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine and the basic treatment of the sick and injured. They receive the CPR certification, participate in Emergency Medical Responder Lectures, Hands on Skills Practice of the basic skills performed in the field and the Ambulance. Once their hands on training is complete they can ride on the Ambulances here in Greenville County and get first hand experience with real live patients along side the supervision of another EMT and Paramedic. Every year the Post Competes in a Regional competition in Gatlinburg, TN that test their skills and knowledge of the medical field. They will compete in both Basic and Advanced Level Skills. |
