The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is a group dedicated to the families of children receiving special education services, including self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, in-class support, and inclusion.
SEPAC functions similarly to a PTA/PTO and services parents of special education children within all 13 schools in the Howell Township School district. The main focus of SEPAC is to help involve parents in their child’s educational experience and provide peer assistance to questions and concerns.
Over the years, SEPAC has hosted free monthly workshops on a variety of topics relating to the child with special needs. SEPAC functions as an information network of parents and guardians sharing information, experiences, and resources in a warm and supportive atmosphere.
We enjoy an excellent working relationship and open lines of communication with our school administrators and the Howell Township Board of Education.
In addition to informative monthly workshop meetings, SEPAC also sponsors programs such as Howell Mania, the SEPAC Kids’ Club (social skills group), SEPAC Gift Auction, and the SEPAC Family Fun Night, and many more events for the children. |
